Pablo Martín de Santa Olalla Saludes (Madrid, 1976) a specialist in relations between Church-State describes the challenges Cardinal Tarancón faced as Cardinal, such as the Divorce law, the secularization of the State, the different positions within the Episcopal Conference regarding the democratization process, and the role of the Church in democracy.

Samuel Hadas

Samuel Hadas (1932-2010) former Israeli diplomat and Spain’s first Israeli ambassador in 1986 describes the long process undertaken by Spain and Israel to formalise diplomatic relations in January 17, 1986 since the establishment of the State of Israel.
